Experience the award-winning Kinne Trio!
Known for their vibrant performances and compelling programming, the Kinne Trio—Marguerite Richardson (violin), Shannon Lockwood (cello), and Scott Watkins (piano)—brings fresh energy to the stage as one of the Southeast’s premiere chamber ensembles.

Winners of the 2022 Euterpe International Competition for Chamber Music, the Trio is celebrated for their ability to blend beloved classical masterworks by Brahms, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Tchaikovsky with stunning discoveries by underrepresented composers like Amy Beach, Otto Malling, Amanda Maier, and Astor Piazzolla.

Their critically praised debut recording, released in 2020, features piano trios by Amy Beach and Clara Schumann—two groundbreaking composers whose works are finally gaining the attention they deserve. The album highlights the Trio’s sensitivity, passion, and commitment to elevating historically overlooked voices in classical music.

Their signature concert, Downton Abbey in Concert, is a fan favorite that charms audiences with music from the sweeping score by Scottish composer John Lunn. This captivating program also features elegant waltzes by Johann Strauss Jr. and popular songs from the World War I era, transporting listeners to another time.

With performances across Florida and the Southeast—from Jacksonville and Tampa to Savannah—the Kinne Trio is dedicated to creating unforgettable concert experiences. They are named in honor of Dr. Frances Bartlett Kinne, a trailblazing arts advocate and former university chancellor.

The Kinne Trio is based in Jacksonville, Florida.
